We are teaming up with Tukei "Simon" Peter and the Ugandan Episcopal Conference to raise money for their sound system needs this year! And since Bay2Africa is a network of musicians and artists, we are particularly fond of this cause, as we are aware of the power of music to heal, inspire, and bring people together! Here is some of the work that is needed, in Simon's own words:
"My plan is to upgrade studio equipment because most of the recent plug-ins are precisely for Mac yet I am still using an old Dell PC which I bought 6 years ago and my studio microphone is very weak since it blew up one of its lines."
Also he has a bigger vision we would love to help with:
"I also have a bigger vision of having a public address system and a vehicle and going out to minister to the youth through music, dance and drama. It is not easy to get the youth to come to church but it is time we as the church went out and look for the youth and the only thing they like most is music! After staging a live performance then we share with them the word of God. This is my simple strategy."
